How does it work?
Our credentialed Gottman level trained therapist utilize the Gottman Relationship Checkup method and other therapeutic modalities in couples therapy. With the aim to achieve the desired level of connection, affection, and intimacy in the relationship, your counselor might work in a series of steps:
1. You and your partner will receive separate invitation emails from the counselor.
2. Partners will create profiles, which will strictly be available only to the counselor.
3. You and your partner will fill out questionnaires, which will also be kept confidential.
These steps will allow our couple counselors to assess your relationship status prior to the first counseling session and help couples understand both their strength and weaknesses within the relationship.
Initial sessions require meetings with the counselor once a week. However, some clients may decide to come biweekly. Either way, consistent appointments supports the work that you and your partner do in counseling. For these, your counselor might suggest meeting you and your partner separately before the joint sessions begin.
